I have discussed often the need to find both a food and fitness plan that you can stick with life. Yesterday, in fact, was my most recent post.Today, I saw another great article on The Diet Blog (found on my Fav Websites list) on this very subject. They site statistics that say: "The picture, unfortunately, isn't good: estimates of the number of diets which fail is typically given as about 95% (the most conservative estimates put it at about 80%). "Failure" means that a dieter successfully lost weight, but didn't manage to keep it off for as long as a year. Some reports suggest that only 1% of dieters manage to lose weight permanently."
In my post yesterday, I mentioned that just the word "diet" tends to be associated with going on a weight loss plan for some period of time & then going off it. Many people go back to their normal eating plan once they fit into the jeans or the wedding dress or the bathing suit for vacation. Duh, no wonder you gained back the weight. Don't lie to yourself. You know this!
This is why I really dislike that word, "diet". You want to find an eating and fitness program the works for life, and yes, exercising needs to be part of that! It not only helps you lose the weight but has multiple health rewards as well.

Now, take control of your life & plan a program that is right for you & your lifestyle. Don't sabotage yourself by buying into to these all or nothing plans. There is no one right thing for everyone. Find what is right for you!
